St. Elizabeth R-IV Earns Top Ten in DESE's APR Release
Under the fourth year of MSIP 6 guidelines from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Hornets of St. Elizabeth remain among the top 10 schools in the state of Missouri. In the fourth year of MSIP 6, the Hornets scored a 96.4%, which is the seventh-best in the state.
The Hornets saw a slight decrease from last year's perfect score. “The decrease in this year's score was all in the area of continuous improvement in English Language Arts. Once you are at the very top, it is tough to maintain that year after year,” Superintendent Doug Kempker states. “Our district will evaluate those lost points and work hard to maintain and improve in that area.”
The statewide distribution of APR scores in 2025 is similar to that in 2024. Overall scores at the LEA level reflect the statewide assessment results reported in August 2025, and statewide trends in academic performance align with those reported nationally.
Additionally, the Hornets increased their overall composite score to 97.2%. Last year, our three-year composite score was 96.7%. Our current score is a four-year average since MSIP 6 was initiated, which ranks #1 in the state. There are a total of 553 public and charter schools in the state.
Looking at the data, St. Elizabeth had the fourth-highest score among K-12 districts. Two K-8 school districts and one K-5 Charter school finished in the top four.
The St. Elizabeth administration and school board would like to thank everyone involved in maintaining such high expectations for our school district. This group comprises the administration, teachers, staff, students, parents, and our school communities. As always, every day is a great day to be a Hornet!
