Our JH Lady Hornets had their season opener in the first round of the Richland Tournament. They defeated Newburg, 46-2. They play again on Thursday at 7:30 against Richland.

The Lady Hornets spotted the Lakers 2 runs in the 1st, but then the Lady Hornets exploded for 16 runs in the next 4 innings, for the 16-2 victory. The JV Lady Hornets scored 5 runs in the first. Then plate a couple more to take the 9-0 win.

**SPORTS TODAY** *Softball hosts the Camdenton Lady Lakers. 5:00 start, Var/JV *JH Girls Basketball takes on the Newburg Lady Wolves in the first round of the Richland tournament. Game time 7:45 Be prepared they may start the games early.

The JH Boys were cold in the first quarter, and just couldn't quite recover. The Hornets made strong run in the final 2:00, but they lost to the Richland Bears, in the first round of the Richland tournament, 50-43.

It's a 2-game sweep for the Lady Hornets. They defeat the JC Lady Jays 11-0 in the Varsity game. The JV Hornets get the "W" with a 12-9 win.

**SPORTS TODAY** *The Lady Hornets travel to Jefferson City for a Varsity/JV night of Softball. Game time 5:00, will be played on their baseball field. *The Hornets will host the Marion C. Early Panthers tonight. Start time is 4:00, will be Varsity/JV as well.

The Hornets defeat a Show-Me Central opponent, Jamestown, 12-11, tonight!

The Lady Hornets defeat the California Lady Pintos, 10-3. Kinley Kemna helped the effort with a 2-run home run.

Student Council & National Honor Society members are selling Mum Coupons for $12 to raise money for their leadership trips and activities throughout the year. Coupons may be redeemed at Trinklein Greenhouse during open hours between September 4th and September 26th. The Lady Hornets make quick work of the Pilot Grove Lady Tigers. They win 20-2 in 4 innings!
