It was a good night for Lady Hornets. In the Jamboree, they beat Tuscumbia 5-1, and the beat Iberia 3-2.

It's finally here! The unofficial start to the Fall season. Our Lady Hornet Softball team hosts a Jamboree with Iberia and Tuscumbia tonight at 5:00, St. E Ballpark...4 innings for each game. 3 outs or 5 runs per half inning.

Today was our staffs first day back at it and we worked together to develop our "First Principles" that will help guide all of our decisions and actions at school. Together, we developed Educate Today, Empower for Tomorrow, and Expect Always. It's going to be a great year!

This is my 12th year in education. I double majored in elementary education and special education and have my masters in administration. Throughout my time in education, I have gained experience with all students K-12 and truly have just come to love being able to support kids throughout their time in school.
My spare time is usually filled with kids' sports, but when there is a moment, I love binging a true crime documentary, watching the Chiefs, or rooting for Mizzou.
I am very excited to be a part of this school and community. Although I did not grow up here, being tied to the area since I was 17, brings a sense of comfort being back. Everyone from fellow co-workers and community members have gone above and beyond to make my family and I feel welcome! It's going to be a great year!

District ACT testing is scheduled for October 27. Cost for the district test is $55.50. Any high school student who is wanting to register, please email or see Mrs. Wankum by August 24.
