What a nail-biter!! The battle continued in the 2nd half. The Lady Hornets handled the Lady Pirates pressure, and hit free throws down the line. The Lady Hornets defeated the Branson Lady Pirates 41-33. They advance to the championship game on Saturday night, 7 pm.
The Lady Hornets have a tough battle tonight. The Branson Lady Pirates are super scrappy. At the half the Lady Pirates lead the Lady Hornets, 19-14.

It was a tight game through three quarters but the Hornets pull away in the fourth! The Hornets advance to the championship game on Friday night at 8:30 against either Dixon or Stoutland. Final score, 74-57.

The Varsity Hornets take on the Iberia Rangers tonight in second round action of the Iberia tournament. Game time 6:00.

We had two students, Sarah Kliethermes and Duncan McDonnell, participate in JH District Band this weekend! Great job!
We had three students participate in the Show Me Conference Spelling Bee, Averi Gilpin, Vincent Ash, and Josie Musick. Rosemary Scheulen came as an alternate. There were around 40 participants from grades 5-8 in our conference.
Averi Gilpin made it through round 1.
Vincent Ash made it to the top 5.
Josie Musick received 2nd place and a medal.

The Lady Hornets were led by Reagan Wobbe's career-high 40 points to take the 70-48 win over the Lady Lakers of Camdenton. Their next game will be Thursday, Jan 23, 7:00 pm, against the Branson Lady Pirates.
The Lady Hornets came out a little slow, but were firing on all cylinders by the end of the first quarter. The Lady Lakers played the Lady Hornets even in the second quarter. At the half, the Lady Hornets lead, 36-24.
