JV action tonight for the Lady Hornets against the Vienna Lady Eagles. Lady Hornets win 9-7. Great game girls!
AddieO hits a triple to start off the top of the 7th inning. Allie is out at first but scores AddieO. Chloe grounds out to the 2nd baseman. Addi smokes one to left field corner for a double and takes 3rd on another pass ball. Addi scores on a hit by Reagan. Reagan steals 2nd and on the next pitch takes 3rd on a pass ball. Dani takes ball 4 and goes to 1st base. Tori grounds out to shortstop. Lady Eagles threaten with 2 base runners but Lady Hornets WIN 10-6!
Lady Hornets keep it going in the top of the 6th inning. This time it’s Tori Kemna’s turn for a 2 run homer. Lady Hornets now lead 8-6.
Top of the 5th inning and Charlie starts the inning off with a double. Charlie moves over to 3rd on a pass ball. AddieO singles to the outfield, getting Charlie to score and the Lady Hornets tie it up 6-6.
Dani gets the Lady Hornets kick started in the top of the 3rd with her two run homer. Bases are loaded, Hornets score on a walk, Hornets score 2 more runs on passed balls. Middle of 3rd inning, Lady Eagles currently lead 6-5.

Nurse Patty brought in pumpkins for the preschool class to paint. They had such a good time.
Baseball and softball plays at Vienna tonight. Both games start at 5, Varsity and Junior Varsity. Good luck to both teams.
There has been a few questions about the school picture proofs. Depending on the color of the shirt and background, there are splotches on the picture. I contacted Interstate Studio and this is what they said.
These images are just a soft proof, they haven't been through production yet for color correction. Parents get an email right away just to show them the images. If they had any green on the shirt it's picking up the color. It won't stay the way. There is a guarantee on all photos.
The 4th grade class had counseling today with Mrs. Wankum. The lesson was about How to Respect….the class discussed what respect means and completed an activity with a partner.
8th Grade life science has spent the past few days designing plant and animal cells. Today their creations came to life in edible form constructed out of baked goods and candies. Such a fun and sugar filled afternoon!
The Hornets continue to roll. They defeated the Tigers of Pilot Grove 57-21.
The Hornets come alive in the second quarter and take a 37-9 lead into the locker room.
The Hornets pull away and secure the deal. 5 shutout innings by Caleb Oligschlaeger the win!
JH “A” boys are on the floor now. After one quarter, they lead the Bland Tigers, 18-6.
JH Lady Hornets beat the Pilot Grove Lady Tigers, 32-15.
We have a game here tonight. After 3 1/2 complete innings the Hornets lead 7-6.
The Lady Hornets come out on fire in the 3rd quarter. They now lead the Lady Tigers, 26-8!
JH Lady Hornets keep scoring. At half they lead the Lady Tigers, 14-4.
