Kindergarten students were excited to work on their sight words last week. They are pretty proud of themselves. Great job!
You may recognize these 3rd graders. They made Paper Bag Portraits of themselves!!! They look great.
Last week the 5th grade class was working on a Car Competition in Science. Each group designed a balloon powered car with the features of speed, safety, cargo capacity and looks. They were very creative and did a great job with this project.
Lady Hornets will be in the South Callaway Varsity Softball Tournament on October 1. Bracket is attached.

Hornets close out the game with a 5-1 win over the Iberia Rangers. Hornets are the champions of the Vienna Fall Classic Tournament. Great job boys!
Caleb comes in as the relief pitcher in the top of the 4th inning. In the bottom of the 5th inning….Eli hits a shot to centerfield to score Caleb and Isaac, Hornets lead 4-1.

Top of the 6th and the Ladybirds threaten, but the Hornets defense holds tough. Time ran out, and the Lady Hornets win 9-5!!

Lady Hornets are playing for 3rd place in the Turf War tournament. They are up against the Ladybirds of North Callaway. The Ladybirds jumped out with 2 quick runs. The Lady Hornets answered with 1 in their half of the first inning. 2-1, Ladybirds lead.

The Tigers bats come alive in the top of the 7th inning to take a 9-8 lead over the Hornets. Jace starts the Hornets off with a solo home run to tie the game up. Eli grounds out to shortstop. Levi flies out to the center fielder. Gavin hits a double off the outfield fence. Nick hits a home run to WIN the game for the Hornets. Hornets will play Iberia at 7pm in the Championship game.
4th inning….pitching change for the Hornets. Trent comes to the mound to hold the Tigers, and Nick and Caleb each hit a solo home run. After 4 complete innings, the Hornets lead 7-4.
Hornets are taking on the Belle Tigers in the 2nd round of the Vienna/Belle Tourney. Gavin is on the mound for the Hornets. Isaac starts the Hornets off with a 2 run home run in the bottom of the 1st inning. The Tigers bats come alive in the top of the 3rd and now lead the Hornets 4-2.
The Lady Hornets put up a good fight, but the Lady Bulldogs take the 7-4 win. Next game TBD
