Tonight our band students were glad to be a part of the Meta Christmas parade celebration. They did an outstanding job for the large crowd.
The boys hold onto the lead and get a 82-77 victory against Osage in the Eugene Tournament. Congrats boys!
It's halftime in Eugene. The Hornets have a 5 point lead against Osage, 42-37.
The Lady Hornets are the winners of the 3rd place game of the Eugene tournament. Way to go, ladies! We are proud of you!!
The 2nd half of the game was back-and-forth. The Lady Hornets would go up, the Lady Indians would come back and tie, or go up themselves. But the Lady Hornets prevailed in the end. Ella Lucas hit two free throws with 4.4 seconds left to seal the deal. The Lady Hornets won 54-50.
The Lady Hornets started out a little slow. But once they got moving, they managed to build a 14-point lead halfway through the 2nd quarter. The Lady Indians didn't back down, and got it to within 4 at the half. The Lady Hornets take a 29-25 lead into the locker room.
It's GAMEDAY! Both the Hornets and Lady Hornets play for 3rd place in the Eugene tournament. The girls take on the Russellville Lady Indians at 3:00. The Hornets take on the Osage Indians at 4:30. Come out and cheer them on!!
Archery season has started!
The turnover margin was too much for the Hornets to overcome. The Southern Boone Eagles defeat the Hornets, 62-41. The Hornets will play at 4:30 for third place immediately following the 3:00 girls third place game. The Lady Hornets will play Russellville.

Our elementary students enjoyed afternoon entertainment from our Spanish I students who wrote children's books. They told the time to read to our students in Spanish. Everyone enjoyed the experience.

Candy Cane time! All proceeds will go to the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center in Jefferson City. Candy Cane Costs: • 2 for $1 • 1 candy cane for each student in your class for $10 Order forms are due Thursday, December 7th. Students may purchase candy canes for themselves, or they can send candy canes to someone else in school. If your student would like more order forms, they may ask their teacher for additional copies.

The Lady Hornets used some good shooting to pull with 9 in the second half. But the Lady Indians proved to be too much. The Lady Hornets lost to the Lady Indians, 63-40. The Lady Hornets will take on the Russellville Lady Indians on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
The Lady Hornets are up against a very good Osage Lady Indian team. Their big girl inside is making it hard for us to get off inside shots. At half, the Lady Hornets are down, 30-16.
The Indians kept it close but the Hornets end up prevailing by a score of 62-53. The Hornets will play Southern Boone at 6:30 tomorrow night.
It's the opening round of the Eugene tournament. The Hornets take on the Indians from Russellville. At the half, the Hornets lead the Indians, 34-25.
The JV Hornets will be playing at the JV Dixon Tournament on December 4th, 6th and 7th.
