**DISTRICT BASEBALL UPDATE**
The Class 1 District 9 first round games in New Haven were cancelled for tonight, May 16th. That pushes the Hornets next game to Tuesday, May 20th. The game time is 5:30

DISTRICT TRACK RESULTS
The top 4 in any event qualify for Sectionals next Saturday, in Hillsboro, MO.
We had 2 District Champions:
**Sarah Backes - HJ, new school record and she broke the New Haven Track stadium record. She cleared 1.6m (5'3)
**Pressly Wright - PV, cleared 2.60m (8'6")
Other qualifiers:
**Hadassah Wieberg - 2nd place 100m Hurdles, 17.54
**Kameron Wilkerson - 4th place 200m dash, 25.09, new personal best for him.
All athletes had good performances today!
Congratulations to Blake Wobbe, Brady Kemna, Nick Heckemeyer, Kyson Green, and Gavin Williams on earning Baseball Academic All-State.
Good Luck to the High School Track team today. They are competing in Districts at New Haven.
The 2024-2025 school year has come to an end and it was a great one!

3-5 Field Day Medal Winners!
8th grade Life Science ended the year with a dissection of a variety of specimens: a frog, a crayfish, a perch, a muscle, and an earthworm. They explored the external and internal anatomical structures, while searching for the organs and organ systems. Such a fun day!
The Hornets were down 1-0 in the bottom of the third inning. One swing off Sam Luetkemeyer's bat, and the Hornets now lead, 3-1.
